Our story

Rooted inMexican tradition

Savina is a female-founded chile crisp brand rooted in Mexican tradition. Every jar starts in Guadalajara, Mexico, with four ingredients, chiles, olive oil, salt, and garlic, prepared the same way from the first jar to the last.

It started ina home kitchen

This story begins in the kitchen at home. We have always been a family that likes to make something a little different at mealtime, and the kitchen is the heart of the house.

That is where Savina was born. Little by little, friends and neighbors started asking for our chiles. We filled twelve jars and sold them between friends. Today more than 60,000 jars have gone out the door.

What identifies us as a family and as a company is the love that goes into every product, every jar, every chile. Prepared the same way from the first jar to the last.

Four ingredients.Nothing else.

All natural, fresh every day. One recipe, four chiles. The chile is the only thing that changes between the jars.

Chiles

Fresh chiles, every single day. Güero, jalapeño, serrano or habanero, slow dried and softly fried.

Olive oil

The best quality we can buy, never seed oil. Filled cold so it keeps all of its properties.

Salt & garlic

The two that make the chile taste more like itself. Measured the same way in every batch.

Nothing extra

All natural. No fillers standing in for flavor, and nothing on the label you have to look up.

Slow dried,softly fried

The process is artisanal from start to finish. It takes longer. It is why the texture holds and the olive oil still tastes like olive oil.

OneSlow dried

The chiles dry slowly instead of fast, so the flavor concentrates rather than flattening out.

TwoSoftly fried

Fried gently in olive oil with salt and garlic. Gentle heat is what leaves the crunch intact.

ThreeJarred in Guadalajara

Made and filled in Guadalajara, Jalisco. Shake well before using. The good stuff settles.

And neverHot filled

Jars are filled cold, so the olive oil keeps every one of its properties. Nothing is rushed to save a step.

The original recipe,by Sandra

Every jar carries her name on the back label: Original recipe made by Sandra Vizcarra N. The recipe has not changed since the first batch, and neither has the way it is made.

It is still a family company. We care about the environment, and every day we are working to become the socially responsible company we want to be.
